A four-day training session
Plan TODAY for your Counselors of Tomorrow!!
EEOC has strict guidelines on the training necessary for
individuals to serve as EEO Counselors. This 32-hour training
session covers all the required information for certification.
As the first official contact point in the EEO complaint
process, the EEO Counselor is a key figure in resolving the
complaint at the lowest possible level. To operate effectively,
counselors must be able to gather appropriate facts to identify
if a discriminatory act may have taken place, be knowledgeable
about their specific agency and skilled in dealing with people.
A well trained counselor can provide management with information
to make an informed decision to assist in resolving the complaint
at the informal level to avoid the high cost of processing
a formal discrimination complaint.
This course will provide EEO background information, fact-finding
techniques and communication techniques to operate effectively
as an EEO counselor. This four day course will take the student
from the beginning of EEO through the settlement agreement
and report writing requirements, providing the most up-to-date
skills and techniques necessary for a successful counseling
session.
Please note: Each student must satisfactorily complete the
Moore &Associates Certification Examination.
Our training method, Tell Me-Show Me-Involve Me, is never
more evident than during this course. Included in the framework
of the course are:
- Evolution of EEO
- Understanding 29 CFR 1614
- Understanding the EEOC MD 110 Claim Intake
- Interviewing the claimant Rights and Responsibilities
- Conducting Management Interviews
- Conducting Joint Settlement Meetings
